About Dizzy Bird Coffee
Dizzy Bird Coffee was established in 2020 as a branch of its mother company, Rabbit Dash. When owner,
Jonathan Hepplewhite, started Rabbit Dash in 2013, he had a vision for a coffee shop that would have a
positive impact on the community where he lived. Through hard work and a kind, caring demeanour for his
customers, Rabbit Dash grew into a thriving business. With the success of his first coffee shop,
Jonathan wanted to branch out and start roasting coffee that had a reputation equal to the quality of
his shop.
In search of that dream, he opened Dizzy Bird Coffee in Southampton Ontario and started experimenting
with different beans and roasts. With his first roasts, he sought out flavour profiles that fit the
vision of his company and the taste preferences of his loyal customer base. These first roasts were
named “Trial and Error”, a name still used by the company today for temporary and seasonal purposes.
Now three years into the roasting business, Dizzy Bird produces small batches of high-quality,
sustainable, ethically sourced coffee. Their roastery is located in the beautiful town of Saugeen
Shores, a popular tourist destination during the summer months. This adds to the diversity of their
customer base, including locals and out-of-towners. Dizzy Bird Coffee believes that coffee is a personal
experience, and they strive to connect with their customers through the shared love of their craft.
Dizzy Bird Coffee invites you to join their coffee quest.
