Building on the proven success of the original Baby semi-automatic, Gaggia has developed the sleek, redesigned Baby Class.
With a beautiful brushed stainless steel exterior and stylish brewing controls to match, the Baby Class adds elegance to Gaggia's traditional design. Like all Gaggia semi-automatics, the Baby Class has commercial quality brewing components for increased durability and an overall better cup of coffee. Featuring a chrome-plated brass brew group, a heavy 58mm commercial style portafilter and a three-way solenoid valve, the Baby Class has the powerful internal components to compliment its stainless steel finish.
For increased temperature stability, the Baby Class contains a unique boiler system with two heating elements. This heating system is a staple of Gaggia's semi-automatic design, providing even heat distribution and speeding up the initial heat-up process. The Baby Class is also equipped with a Turbo Frother with a multi-positional Pannarello wand, to take the guesswork out of frothing and steaming. This machine also houses a large 60 oz water reservoir, which can be removed or filled in place for added convenience. Plus, like all Gaggia semi-automatics, the Baby Class is compatible with ESE sized pods.
Many know Baratza as the US Solis distributors that created the popular and well regarded Solis Maestro coffee grinder series. Baratza is now fully focused on designing and distributing their own line of grinders. The Virtuoso takes the popular design elements of the Solis Maestro series and elevates them to a whole new level!
Commercial Grade Conical Burrs
Manufactured in Italy, the Virtuoso's™ 44mm grinding burrs are the same material and durability as the industry's highest-quality line of commercial conical burr coffee grinders. Conical burr grinders are exceptional at producing consistent grinds which is imperative to a high-quality extraction and excellent coffee. The burrs have a precision mounting system to ensure a stable platform for accurate grinding.
Grind Coffee For Any Brewing Method
There are many coffee grinders on the market. However, few have the ability to grind fine enough for a professional espresso machine and coarse enough for a press pot. The Virtuoso™ has 40 steps of adjustment. Choose the perfect setting by turning the bean hopper to the desired position. The Virtuoso™ has a calibration system found on commercial grinders which allows for a large range of grind settings.
DC Motor and Speed Control
The powerful, high torque 480 watt DC motor effortlessly drives the burrs. This motor turns slowly resulting in cool, quiet operation and permits long grinding duty-cycles. The circuitry is equipped with an automatically resetting, thermal cutoff switch. The Virtuoso™ uses a combination of gear and electronic speed reduction to control the rotation of the bur to 450 RPM. This slow speed reduces heat, noise, and static genertaion in the grinder. It also ensures that the beans feed smoothly into the burrs.
Timers switch and Pulse button
The Virtuoso™ has a sixty second timer, with segmented graphics, for easily repeatable grind times. It also has a front mounted pulse button that manually controls the on/off function. By removing the coffee grounds bin, you can place the portafilter handle directly under the dispensing chute and grind directly into your filter basket by using the timer or pulse button.
Easy to Clean
important and often overlooked task required of owning a good coffee grinder is routine cleaning. To clean the Virtuoso™, just remove the coffee been hopper to expose the grinding chamber. At this point the outer ring burr simply lifts out. The entire grinding chamber can then be thoroughly cleaned in a few minutes.
