The Odea Giro II is perfect for those who don't need a bypass doser for decaf, or electric cup warming tray; but do want a great cup of coffee. Many of our customers use the Giro as a replacement for drip coffee. They have found that brewing a Cafe crema or americano type coffee is a vast improvement in taste! Cafe Creme is a Swiss style of coffee with more strength, flavour and aroma than drip coffee but not as strong as espresso. By setting the grinder to a slightly courser adjustment it is possible to obtain a rich, hearty coffee with golden crema on top - Cafe Crema!

A large dial is central to making your drink; on the Giro simply turn it to pick your coffee/espresso from 1 to 8 oz in size. The dial is numbered from 1 to 8 for ease of use. Press the start button above the dial to grind, tamp, dose and brew your drink. Pressing the button twice produces a double shot. The light illuminates during the cycle to indicate operation.

The Odea Giro II also has coffee pre-infusion for maximum flavour extraction. Hot water for tea, Americanos, etc. is available at the touch of a button. Used "coffee pucks" are ejected into an internal "dregs drawer", which is accessed by opening the front door. An indicator light marked with an exclamation point inside a triangle will flash when you should add beans, water, or empty the dregs drawer.

The Odea Giro II's 1.5 liter water reservoir holds enough water for 30 espresso's or about 10 cups of coffee. It can easily be refilled while it is still in the machine or by removing it with the easy-grip handle. The reservoir is made of clear ABS plastic so checking the water level is a breeze. The 4-stage Aqua Prima filter is included and even provides a low level of water softening, thereby helping to protect your machine between descaling cycles. The Aqua Prima indicator lights up when it is time to replace the Aqua Prima water filter. More filters and descaler are available separately from Espressotec.

The burr grinder in the Odea Giro II has been upgraded from 3 adjustment settings to 5, if required. To adjust the amount of coffee being used, simply click the bean button on the front panel of the machine and the beans will light up indicating the strength of the coffee. This adjustable feature gives you direct control over coffee strength. The coffee dose amount can be varied from 7 to 10.5 grams for a single brewing cycle to increase or decrease the strength of coffee.

Maintenance: Like all Saeco's, the Odea Giro II features a patented and industry leading easy-to-remove coffee brewing group. Simply quick-rinse the whole coffee-brew assembly in the sink. This should be done about once a week or each time the bean hopper is filled. With the included brew group key the coffee screen can be removed periodically for a more thorough cleaning. Espressotec has all the cleaning supplies needed to keep your machine in tip top shape.

"Saeco Odea Giro II"

Review: Unbelievable delivery speed! I fumbled on my first attempt when I got thrown by the startup LED light show on the machine. Had I read the instructions more thoroughly, I would have been better prepared. It's a breeze to use and produces a fine cappucinos and lattes. Good entry level value for an automatic machine

Review: Bought it on-line and it was delivered to Vancouver island with a couple of days. Instructions and maintenance are a breeze. Can't do without it yet ~ even had to take it on a weekend trip to the Gulf Islands- it's that easy to carry.
