Shipping in Canada

•  Free ground shipping on all orders over $250 (before any taxes) in the 10 provinces of Canada ! Approximate shipping times will depend on location and proximity to urban centres. Rural destinations may have slightly longer delivery times.

Ground:
•  Canada-wide, we offer a choice of Canada Post or DHL courier shipping services from Vancouver , BC , and are able to accommodate special shipping requirements or ship on your courier account if required. For delivery within western provinces we can "put it on the bus" for collect pickup from the local Greyhound station. The flat rates below cover shipping, packaging and handling for orders less than $250 CAD. We reserve the right to reduce shipping costs for orders with low total weight, or to increase shipping costs for orders with excessive weight, which exceed dimensional weight levels, or which are being sent to remote areas where shipping rates are higher than normal. Al l shipments we send with an item value of above $250 require a signature on delivery.

•  For delivery to the Northwest Territories , Nunavut , and the Yukon Territory please allow up to 15 days for delivery. The usual delivery is by Canada Post.

Air:
•  For faster service to your location you may select the DHL air option. Rural locations may have slightly longer delivery times. Some locations, especially in Northern Canada are accessible only by air and air surcharge will apply.

Insurance:
•  For additional protection, we recommend you check the optional Insurance coverage box on the Shipping options. This means that we will automatically replace lost or damaged shipments regardless of whose fault it is. In the case of damaged goods these must be returned to us after inspection. It is your responsibility to request inspection within 24 hours of receipt of the goods, so that we may file our own damage report. If an item is deemed lost after normal track and trace procedures by the shipping company we will ship out replacement product to you.

Shipping service is weight based and we use several services to maximize speed and price including DHL Courier and Greyhound. Ground courier service is not available in some remote communities (especially Northern Canada ) and air rates will apply or an alternate carrier will be arranged. Shipping rates are based on weight.

Al l home machines are shipped to the USA via DHL USA ground service unless otherwise specified. Commercial machines will be shipped by appropriate commercial truck lines (usually Canadian Freightways).


Shipping Internationally
The shipping calculator built-in to the Shopping Cart will calculate the shipping charges on items under 2 Kg. Shipments over 2 Kg. will require us to quote you a price, but is relatively expensive.

DEFECTIVE MERCHANDISE

•  If you don't think your new espresso machine or grinder is working properly please call us at 1-604-244-7989, MON-FRI 9am - 6pm Pacific Standard time.
If you find the merchandise to be defective within 30 days of purchase, you may return it to us for replacement. Please contact Espressotec within 30 days if you find that your merchandise is defective. You will be provided with a Return Merchandise Authorization number (RMA). You must ship defective merchandise via a courier that provides tracking, and provide us with the tracking number. You must purchase insurance from the courier.

•  Espressotec will not replace defective merchandise after 30 days but will repair it (or have it repaired) subject to the terms of the warranty. We will do our best to troubleshoot the machine for you, however in the event the product is faulty we will then give you instructions how to return the machine for an immediate repair, replacement or refund.

SHIPPING DAMAGE

•  If you notice any damage from shipping (inspect the shipping box when you receive it for dents etc.) please note the damage on the carrier's freight bill or receipt.
If you purchased an item and had purchased the optional shipping insurance and then received an item that was damaged in transit, please contact us immediately. We will contact the courier (DHL, Greyhound , Canada Post etc) to pick up the item and return it to us at our expense. We will send out a replacement at no charge to you, once we receive the damaged item back.

•  If optional insurance has not been purchased our liability is limited up to $100 of repairs or replacement. It will be necessary for you to file a damage claim within 24 hours with the delivery company and then forward to us the documentation. Return to us will be at your own expense.

•  Most products sold by Espressotec Sales & service are warranted by us and we will repair, replace or refund the value of the merchandise at our discretion. We do our best to keep a full parts inventory of every machine that we sell and work with the manufacturer's to ensure that we have a good supply of parts availability well into the service life of their machines. TAXES FOR SHIPMENTS IN CANADA

•  BC Residents will be charged 6% GST and 7.0% PST

•  Atlantic Provinces Residents will be charged 14% HST.

• Al l other Provinces and Territories will be charged 6% GST only.

TAXES, DUTIES AND SHIPPING FOR USA AND INTERNATIONAL

•  Customers outside Canada will not be charged any taxes. We pre-pay any duty and customs brokerage fees at the time of shipping, unless otherwise noted. Commercial machines are not subject to any duties in USA .

•  The shipping cost is calculated based on weight. We carry a blanket transit insurance package. Al l home machines are shipped to the USA via DHL courier ground USA service or Canada Post unless otherwise specified. Commercial machines will be shipped by appropriate commercial truck lines (usually Canadian Freightways).

COMMERCIAL MACHINES, USED/RECONDITIONED MACHINES

•  We pre-pay any customs duties or brokerage on new commercial espresso machines for USA shipment. Shipping and insurance is at the cost of the customer and is based on weight. Crating Costs for Reconditioned machines may apply on larger machines. Extra charges for heated shipping may apply in winter months, if the machine is tested prior to shipment. We do not ship commercial machines outside of Canada or the contiguous United states . Commercial machines are not subject to any duties in USA .
