Shipping in Canada

Free ground shipping on all orders over $69.99 (before taxes) excluding commercial machines in the 10 provinces of Canada ! Approximate shipping times will depend on location and proximity to urban centres. Rural destinations may have slightly longer delivery times. All times are calculated automatically using the online calculator. Simply add the products you desire into the shopping cart, click the checkout button and look for the "calculate shipping charges" button.

Free shipping by Ground: 
•  Canada-wide, we use Canada Post as our preferred shipping service from Vancouver, BC, Canada. We are also able to accommodate special shipping requirements or ship on your courier account if required. For delivery within western Canadian provinces we can "put it on the bus" for pickup from the local Greyhound station. We reserve the right to increase shipping costs for orders with excessive weight, which exceed dimensional weight levels, or which are being sent to remote areas where shipping rates are higher than normal.  
•  For delivery to the Northwest Territories, Nunavut, and the Yukon Territory please allow extra time for delivery. Delivery is by Canada Post. Free shipping does not apply. 

Expedited and faster service: 
•  For faster service to your location you may select a faster service when you checkout. The Canada Post on-line calculator will give you the options available, the corresponding cost and the scheduled delivery date. Some locations, especially in Northern Canada are accessible only by air and an air surcharge will be automatically factored in. Delivery times shown are approximate and are not guaranteed by Canada Post or Espressotec. For most service options tracking is available online and an e-mail will be forwarded to you with that information as soon as your order is processed.

Shipping in USA

All times are calculated automatically using the online calculator. Simply add the products you desire into the shopping cart, click the checkout button and look for the "Get A Quote" button.

• Shipments to USA are sent by Canada Post and transferred automatically to USPS for delivery. All times are calculated automatically using our online calculator. Simply add the products you desire into the shopping cart, click the checkout button and look for the "calculate shipping charges" button.

• The Canada Post on-line calculator will give you the options available, the corresponding cost and the scheduled delivery date. Delivery times shown are approximate and are not guaranteed by Canada Post, USPS or Espressotec. An e-mail will be sent to you once your order has been processed for shipment giving you shipping information. For many service options tracking information is available on-line.

• Commercial Machines will be shipped by Courier or by Commercial Truck either from our warehouse in Richmond, BC or drop shipped from our US supplier if that is more convenient for us and you. More information for Commercial Machines below. 

 

Shipping Internationally

• Our Canada Post on-line calculator will give you the options available, the corresponding cost and the approximate delivery date. Delivery times shown are approximate and are not guaranteed by Canada Post or Espressotec. In our experience, surface mail delivery times are sometimes optimistic, and you should allow 1 or 2 weeks extra in certain countries, due to slower local processing times. For example, surface shipments to Japan, in our experience, are taking 4 to 7 weeks. It may be preferable to upgrade to Air shipment. Air shipments are taking around 1 week. We have found the same to be true in Israel, and also in South Pacific locations such as New Zealand.

• International shipments that require more than 1 box or weigh more than 30 Kg will not be calculated automatically using our on-line shipping calculator. After you submit your order we will obtain the shipping quote and advise you before we process your order. Special note for Japan: We have found that it can be much more economical to ship large items (over 30KG) to be held for pickup at the airport. If you are able to pick your item up at any of the larger airports, the cost can be reduced. We can advise you prior to shipping.

DEFECTIVE MERCHANDISE

 

•  If you don't think your new espresso machine or grinder is working properly please call us at 1-604-244-7989. If you find the merchandise to be defective within 30 days of purchase, you may return it to us for repair or replacement at our option. Please contact Espressotec within 30 days if you find that your merchandise is defective. You will be provided with a Return Merchandise Authorization number (RMA). You must ship defective merchandise via a courier that provides tracking (such as Canada Post), and provide us with the tracking number. You must purchase insurance from the courier. We use the widely accepted internet policy of splitting the costs. You pay to return it and we again pay to send out the new unit.

•  Espressotec will not replace defective merchandise after 30 days but will repair it (or have it repaired) subject to the terms of the warranty. We will do our best to troubleshoot the machine for you, however in the event the product is faulty we will then give you instructions how to return the machine for an immediate repair, replacement or refund. 

SHIPPING DAMAGE

 

•  If you notice any damage from shipping (inspect the shipping box when you receive it for dents etc.) please note the damage on the carrier's freight bill or receipt. 

• If you purchased an item that was damaged in transit, please contact us immediately. We will then issue you an RMA number. You will be responsible to contact the courier (Canada Post, Greyhound, etc) to pick up the item and return it to us, at your initial expense. Items returned without an RMA number may be refused by us. After we receive the item and inspect it we will reimburse you up to the cost of standard ground transportation. We will then send out a replacement at no charge to you, once we receive the damaged item back and inspect it. If you wish faster service, we can send out a replacement unit immediately, however it must be paid for in full prior to shipment. Then the damaged unit will be refunded to you, based on the original payment method.

•  Most products sold by Espressotec Sales & Service are warranted by us and we will repair, replace or refund the value of the merchandise at our discretion. We do our best to keep a full parts inventory of every machine that we sell and work with the manufacturer's to ensure that we have a good supply of parts availability well into the service life of their machines. CLICK HERE FOR MORE INFO 

TAXES FOR SHIPMENTS IN CANADA

• Taxes are calculated by our site automatically when you checkout. To determine your taxes, simply add your desired products to the cart and proceed to the checkout section. Taxes are based on the SHIPPING address, NOT the Billing address. 

•  BC Residents will be charged 5% GST + 7% PST

•  Residents of Ontario and Atlantic Provinces will be charged 13% HST. 

•  All other Provinces and Territories will be charged 5% GST only.

TAXES, DUTIES AND SHIPPING FOR USA AND INTERNATIONAL

 

• Customers outside Canada will NOT be charged any taxes. We pre-pay any duty and customs brokerage fees at the time of shipping, unless otherwise noted. Commercial machines are not subject to any duties in USA .

• The shipping cost is calculated based on weight. We carry a blanket transit insurance package. All home machines are shipped to the USA via Canada Post and delivered by the US Postal service unless otherwise specified. Commercial machines will be shipped by appropriate commercial truck lines (usually Canadian Freightways and their US affiliates).

COMMERCIAL MACHINES, USED/RECONDITIONED MACHINES

• We pre-pay any customs duties or brokerage on new commercial espresso machines for USA shipment. Shipping and insurance is at the cost of the customer and is based on weight. Crating Costs for Reconditioned machines may apply on larger machines. Extra charges for heated shipping may apply in winter months, if the machine is tested prior to shipment. Commercial machines are not subject to any duties in USA .
